Enrollment
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. For full classes, a
waiting list will be maintained to accommodate other students if and when
space becomes available. Classes are limited in size and students are
grouped according to age and ability level. Classes begin in September
and end in June with our annual Spring Production. Registration fee and
first payment plan installment are due at time of enrollment.
Registration Fee
A non-refundable $25.00 registration fee per student is required at the
time of enrollment. Families will pay $25.00 for the first and $10.00
for each additional child thereafter. For families registering 3 or more
children will pay a flat $50.00 registration fee. The registration fee
will reserve the student's placement in a class and is used to offset
costs involved in invoicing, newsletters, miscellaneous communications,
memos, flyers, and maintenance of your account. In the event that a student
withdraws from a class, this deposit is forfeited.
Tuition
All tuition payments are due by the 1st class of each month regardless
if the student is absent or a class is cancelled due to weather. If
the student is out please stop by the studio to pay tuition or send it
via mail. A payment tuition box is located at the front desk for your
convenience. The studio will be in session from September through end
of June. Monthly tuition is divided into 10 equal payments for lessons
received for a full year dance session (September - June), NOT on lessons
per month. Payments remain the same each month regardless of attendance,
school closures, holidays, etc.
Tuition Payments
Payments may be made either by personal check, cash or credit/debit card.
Checks should be made payable to Fusion Dance Academy. To ensure proper
credit, please put your child's name on the check, especially if your
child has a different last name than yours.
Auto Payment Option - for Auto Pay Credit/Debit Card: This is an
automated system where your payment is automatically drafted from your
Credit/or Debit Card on the 1st or 10th of each month for the amount of
your monthly fee. This will ensure your monthly payments are received
on time without hassle. Please request an enrollment form from the office
if you are interested in this service.
Late Fees and Returned Checks
A $10.00 late fee will automatically be added to your account after the
10th of the month. And an additional $5.00 will be added if payment is
not received by the 20th for a total of $15.00. WE DO NOT SEND STATEMENTS!
Once enrolled, you are responsible for monthly payments without receiving
a monthly reminder. A $25.00 processing fee will be added for all returned
checks. The studio reserves the right to discontinue a dancer's classes
for non-payment of tuition and fees when necessary.
Missed Classes and Refunds
There are no pro-rated fees for missed classes or holidays. There will
be no refunds for classes missed due to illness or injuries. Payments
may not be reduced in order to accommodate family vacations. Studio closure
days due to weather or classes cancelled due to a teacher absence will
be made up at time arranged with that teacher. Students may attend another
class on the schedule as a make-up class if they missed a class due to
illness or if the student can not attend a scheduled make up class. Classes
are not transferable to another student.
Withdrawals or Class Changes
The studio requires written notice to the office at least 4 weeks prior
to discontinuing classes. You will be responsible for four weeks tuition
from the date the studio receives notification. Students are responsible
for letting the instructor know if they will not be returning to a class.
If a student is adding or changing a class a written notification must
be given to the office before starting the new class.
Attendance
Our studio requires all students to arrive to class regularly and on time.
Please notify the office and the instructor if you will be missing classes
for an extended period due to illness or vacation. Tuition refunds will
not be made in the case of absences due to illness or vacation.
Holidays and Studio Closures
The studio follows the Dover Public Schools with regards to holidays and
school closures due to snow or other weather related events. The regularly
observed holidays are as follows: Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving,
Christmas Break / New Years, Winter Break, Martin Luther King Day, Spring
Break, and Memorial Day. Our policy for snow day cancellation is we ask
you to call the studio 1 hour prior to your first dance class and a message
will be posted on our answering machine to inform you.
Annual Spring Performance
All students are invited to participate in our annual spring dance performance.
Our spring performance is an extension of the benefits derived from the
dedication of dance training. As part of their participation in the show,
students learn showmanship, teamwork skills, memorization of patterns
and how to express individual personalities. Dance costumes are required
to be purchased for each dance class. Recital costume prices are $70.00
per costume ($50.00 for Creative Movement Class only.) And a $50.00 (per
family) recital fee will be due in March. More specific information
about recital will be sent home with students in December.
Messages and Notices
Important studio notices and schedules, including changes, are included
in our newsletters and are also posted on the studio bulletin board next
to Studio A. It is the responsibility of each student and parent to check
the bulletin board before and after each class. Parents are also responsible
for requesting a newsletter or current handouts if they do not receive
one.
Observation and Video Taping
Although studio A and B has a viewing capabilities it will not always
be available. The first class of each month will be our "parent peek"
however, parents are not allowed access into the classroom! The watch
window will be open in studio A and the monitor will be turned on to watch
on the waiting room TV for studio B. Video taping or taking pictures during
class is not permitted unless special arrangements have been made with
Miss Jaime or the office manager. Remember, it may not distract your child
for you to be in the class, but it may be disruptive to the teacher and
other students.
Arrive on Time
Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult. Small children should
be taken to the bathroom prior to class to help minimize frequent "potty
breaks". In interest of the children's safety, students arriving
more than 15 minutes late into a class will observe only. Our staff does
not guarantee supervision of a child picked up late from class. If you
are running late, please call the studio as soon as possible. This will
ease the child's nerves as well as allow us to make special arrangements
as needed.
No Food or Drink
No food or drink is allowed in the dance studios. Food and drinks are
allowed in the lobby only and any damages made are the responsibility
of the child and parent. Students are responsible for the studio's tidiness.
Dress Code Requirements
Please read the dress code section thoroughly and know the proper requirements
for your child's dance studies. A cover-up should be worn entering and
leaving the studio. Do not wear dance shoes outside of class.
Code of Conduct
Proper respect for the director, staff, office manager, curriculum and
fellow students is expected of all students, parents and siblings. Every
student should behave in a disciplined, responsible manner both on and
off site. The studio reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student
whose attitude, attendance or conduct is found to be unsatisfactory. Parents
wishing to speak to the director or instructor must first make an appointment
with Miss Jaime or the office manager.
